Chicago Haunt Builders bring scares to homes & yards across Chicago suburbs for Halloween — Schaumburg Real Estate news

They’re not exactly haunted houses, but those looking for scares this Halloween won’t want to miss these frightening experiences popping up at homes and in yards across the Chicago area. Many of these homeowners are part of Chicago Haunt Builders, a community of Halloween enthusiasts who create scary (and sometimes not-so-scary) displays, haunts and decorations that rival some of the creepiest haunted houses. The group’s website, chicagohauntbuilders.org, features a listing and descriptions of homes around the suburbs, southern Wisconsin and northern Indiana, where the public can find these elaborate displays. The community is dedicated to fostering creativity among the builders and sharing ideas to assemble bigger and better haunts each year.Jim Slanker, the unofficial group leader, Facebook group administrator and creator of Canyon Trail Cemetery, said no two haunts are alike, and that visitors will experience the homeowners’ creativity, craftsmanship, engineering and passion.“Visito
